2 Weeks Update

Our littlest baby girl is already 2 weeks old! Can time slow down??

Callie is the perfect baby. She is so easy and so quiet and happy. It truly is a blessing to be able to experience what it feels like to raise a singleton. We all get to share her and squish up on her!

Her little umbilical cord fell of yesterday so she had her first real, full body bath and she loved it.

(Her first ever bath was last Saturday. Just a little foot rinse and we washed her hair).

Of course her sisters wanted to be involved every step of the way and they leaned over the tub with me while I was giving her a little tubby.

She went in for her two week check up today and she already exceeds her birth weight!
She weighed 8lbs 5oz today! (YAY for mommy making super awesome milk and giving her everything that she needs to grow big and strong! And healthy!)

We spend most of our days just being quiet at home. She loves to look outside when she is awake. She likes to go on walks and look around with her beautiful, bright little eyes.
It's hard to tell what color they will be. Sometimes they seem to be on the darker side and other times they look like they might be somewhat lighter. I guess we will find out soon enough.

Callie is sleeping really well at night. She is giving me 4 to 5 hour stretches. I think that for being 2 weeks old, it's pretty darn amazing!

All in all, the last two weeks have been so much fun and Nolan and I both said that we forgot how much fun it is to have a newborn!

Callie Hope Galloway

We are thrilled to announce the birth of our newest little girl!

Mommy, Daddy and her two big sisters, Ainsley and Braelyn welcomed her into our hearts on September 5th, 2015.

Callie Hope Galloway.
Born on Saturday, September 5th at 4:51pm.

She weighed 8lbs 4oz and is 21 long.

Callie's Story:

It was with MUCH anticipation to meet our new baby! We decided to keep her gender a surprise until she was born. So we didn't know if we were going to have a new baby brother or a new baby sister.

I started having some serious contractions on Friday night, all the way into Saturday morning. The contractions were irregular but they were painful. Nolan decided that he best call my Dr. to see what he thinks we should do. I knew that my contractions weren't regular enough to be concerned about, but daddy was concerned. So, we get the twins all loaded up and sent off the Biggy and Grand-daddy.

Next thing we know, we make our way to the hospital. The nurses checked me to see how far I have dilated and there was no exciting news. The nurse said that I was 1cm dilated and not a laboring cervix... so they send me back to the house with the directions of "rest and fluids."

Rest and fluids didn't make the contractions subside so by the afternoon Nolan was still concerned. I knew again, that my contractions weren't signs of active laboring contractions.
Nonetheless, Nolan called my Dr. again.
This time he said, "lets go ahead and take this baby."

It was very surreal and it all happened so fast and it was so unexpected!
We arrived at the hospital and they placed me on an IV. The IV stopped my contractions. It was a little scary to think that they were still considering taking the baby because I didn't know if "baby" was ready to come out yet. I wanted to make sure that it was the right thing for everyone, especially the little bundle that we were about to welcome.

Soon after the IV, I had two very strong contractions and then we all knew... it was time.

The BEST thing was when daddy look down at me in the delivery room and he said,
"I saw her! It's a girl! She was facing me!"

And that was the beginning of our newest baby girl who instantly stole our hearts with her jet black hair and super tiny little fingers and toes!
